David Outerbridge is a partner in the Litigation Department of Torys LLP, where he acts as trial and appellate counsel in a broad range of litigation matters.
David has substantial experience in public law, criminal and constitutional litigation. David has appeared as counsel at the Supreme Court of Canada, the Federal Court, all levels of court in Ontario and before various administrative tribunals, including the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.
He has law degrees from McGill University (LLB/BCL (Gold Medalist), 1997; MA, 1995; BA (First Class Honours), 1991) and was a clerk to Mr. Iacobucci at the Supreme Court of Canada.
Ryan Lax is an associate in the Litigation Department of Torys LLP.
In addition to his commercial litigation practice, Ryan has experience in international law and administrative law. He assisted Mr. Iacobucci in preparing a report for the Attorney General of Ontario on the process for including individuals living in First Nations reserve communities on the province’s jury roles.
Molly Reynolds is an associate in the Litigation Department of Torys LLP.
She acts in a wide variety of litigation matters, including administrative law, professional misconduct and privacy law. She is the editor of the Ontario Bar Association Civil Litigation newsletter and Chair of the Ontario e-Discovery Implementation Committee’s Education Subcommittee.
Rebecca Wise is an associate in the Litigation Department of Torys LLP, where she advises on commercial law as well as class actions and employment matters. She has published articles on a variety of topics, including workplace safety legislation, securities enforcement, privacy and social media.
